About the work
From the Chasing Reflections series. Were We There? explores the uncertainty of memory and the stories we build around it. Some moments feel so vivid and precious that, with time, they begin to blur the line between what happened and what we wish had happened. The painting reflects the attempt to hold onto a beautiful memory while questioning how much of it has changed in the retelling. Created with acrylic and oil stick on unprimed canvas.
