Chasing Reflections

Chasing Reflections emerged during a summer of uncertainty and introspection. It is an ongoing body of work comprising six paintings, with further works in progress, created with acrylic and oil pastel on unprimed canvas. The series is shaped by questions rather than conclusions: where I am, what I value, what I choose to hold onto, and what I am ready to leave behind.

I have always been drawn to reflections because they never offer certainty. Every answer reveals another question, and every moment of clarity shifts as I move closer. Painting has become my way of pursuing these fleeting states, knowing they can never be fully held.

The title refers both to reflection as contemplation and to reflection as a surface: something visible, changing and impossible to grasp. The works remain in that unresolved space, where thought, memory and perception continuously shift.
