About the work
The Silent Parade is about carrying joy and sorrow side by side. There are moments when life asks us to celebrate while we are still processing something difficult, and neither feeling cancels out the other. The painting embraces this emotional overlap through layered gestures, colour and movement. Acrylic and oil pastel on unprimed canvas.
