The Journey
SINCE 2023Professional Background
For over six years, Alina worked in Canada at the intersection of technology and art as a Visual Effects Coordinator and Project Manager for major global film productions. Her portfolio includes collaborative work for Marvel Studios, The Walt Disney Company, and Paramount Pictures, where she specialized in visual development pipelines. This background in cinema continues to shape how she works with composition, color, scale, lighting, texture, and sequencing in her fine art practice.
Artistic Practice
Since 2023, Alina has focused her practice on abstract expressionism, moving from digital landscapes to the tactile reality of unprimed canvas. Her technique involves:
Materiality: Working with heavy body acrylics, fluid acrylics, inks, and oil pigments to explore how material settles on raw surfaces.
Atmospheric Abstraction: Drawing deep inspiration from nature — she translates atmospheric rhythms and shifting light into "visual journal entries".
Thematic Focus: Her work explores the dissolution of memory, using the way pigment sinks and spreads into the canvas to represent how impressions settle over time.
Exhibitions
Alina has exhibited her work in Toronto, Canada, notably in the Collide with Colour exhibition at Twist Gallery (2024). Her work has also been featured in exhibitions with Hello Art at Colliers International and Crown Realty Partners. She is currently integrating into the Scandinavian art scene, bringing a North American and cinematic perspective to the Nordic landscape.
